Agreement Overview: By using NORTH, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you don't agree, please don't use our Service.
Welcome to NORTH. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the NORTH mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, downloading the app, or using any part of the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to use NORTH. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.
To access certain features of NORTH, you must create an account. You agree to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or provide false information.
NORTH offers a 14-day free trial for new subscribers. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, you will automatically be charged for your selected subscription plan.
NORTH offers two subscription tiers:
Subscription features and pricing are subject to change with 30 days' notice to active subscribers.
Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis according to your selected billing cycle (monthly or annual). Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings:
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until that date. No partial refunds are provided for unused time.
Refunds are handled by Apple and Google according to their respective policies. Generally, refunds may be available within 48 hours of purchase. To request a refund:

You agree to use NORTH only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
The Service, including all content, features, functionality, software, code, design, graphics, and trademarks, is owned by NORTH and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. "NORTH," "The Captain," "The Navigator," and our logo are trademarks of NORTH.
You retain ownership of all content you create in NORTH (tasks, notes, reflections, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use, store, and process your content solely to provide and improve the Service.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use.
The Navigator, voice assistant, and other AI-powered features in NORTH provide personalized productivity guidance based on your input and usage patterns. These features are designed to help you organize tasks and make decisions, but they:
You are solely responsible for your decisions and actions based on guidance from The Navigator or any other feature in NORTH. We are not liable for any consequences resulting from your reliance on the Service.
NORTH integrates with third-party services such as Google Calendar and email providers. Your use of these integrations is subject to the third party's terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.
Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.
We do not warrant that the content, features, or functionality of the Service will be accurate, reliable, or correct. Any reliance you place on the Service is at your own risk.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NORTH AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so some of the above limitations may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NORTH and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through Settings → Account → Delete Account. This action is permanent and will delete all your data.
We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in conduct harmful to NORTH or other users.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service immediately ceases. We may delete your account and data, though some information may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability).
If you have a dispute with NORTH, please contact us at support@yournorth.app to attempt to resolve the issue informally before pursuing formal legal action.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, rather than in court, except that you may assert claims in small claims court if your claims qualify.
You agree that disputes will be resolved on an individual basis and not as part of a class action, consolidated action, or representative action.
You may opt out of the arbitration agreement by sending written notice to legal@yournorth.app within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Delaware.
We may modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by:
Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Service and delete your account.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and NORTH regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
